Chris Talley is a native of what many call the ‘Low Country’.  Raised in South East Georgia, he grew up reading stories of lost treasure, island ghosts, wild horses, unconquerable oceans, and military conquests.  When asked what he wanted to become when he grew up, he answered: “Oh man…a Pirate of course! And if that didn’t work out for some unforeseeable reason…..a musician”.  While most of his generation was listening to Vanilla Ice and Poison, Chris was memorizing Muddy Waters, Tom Petty and Hank Williams.

Chris is a traveling Troubadour, on a mission to preserve a vanishing National Treasure…….Southern American Culture.  He is expeditiously performing on an itinerant podium, campaigning for the preservation of chivalry, harmony, hope, happiness, peace & love.  Chris is determined to help his audience see the good in all people and share the love that they have been given.

“We are getting Lost in the haze of digital airwaves, the over-saturation of media pessimism, the frustration of economic turbulence, and the greed of self-addiction.  I want to encourage people to get up from their indented couch cushion, make a dinner reservation, go to a theatre, drop a dollar with someone in need on their way out, stop to look at the stars for a brief minute, and then go check out a local music act.  Slow down to a Southerners Pace”.

The newest release titled “Marshland Melodies” tells vibrant stories, illustrating the historical world that Chris comes from.  His smooth voice and slow drawl elicit a sound that replicates that of George Harrison, Matthew Sweet, and Pete Droge.  The 10 song LP covers everything from infrangible love, resentful heartbreak, spiritual epiphany, delectable food, adversarial family relationships, and one rowdy dog.  It is a great album to get stuck in your car CD player.
